The European inspired 'tall' design of the kettle with the brushed
stainless steel body and base designed to compliment the modern kitchen.
The internally dampened gears in the lid provide for effortless opening
and closing without any clicking and locking.
The brushed stainless steel base encircles a mounting post that
allows the kettle to rotate 360.° Power is delivered through the
mounting post, making the

jug entirely cord-free when lifted from the base. The underside features
wrap-around cord storage to customize cord length. Water Indicator Positioned a
t the rear of the kettle, the water level indicator is suitable for both left
and right-handed use. A blue light illuminates the gauge, which goes from 500ML
right up to the kettle’s maximum capacity of 1700ML. A special bi-metal sensor
tracks internal temperature and automatically switches the kettle off after the
water begins to boil. For further protection, a second bi-metal sensor turns off
the kettle if it’s started without water in the jug. [3]
I just would not survive without a cup of tea in the morning! A good
electric water kettle will boil 2 cups of water in around 2 minutes and should
hold at least 1.5L or 6 cups of water. Electric cordless kettles with a swivel base
offer greater convenience and re filling is easier when the lid is wide and
removable. An automatic shut off switch is essential; a water level indicator
is very useful. Illuminated switches show when the power is off or on. The
element should be stainless steel. Removable filters prevent particles going into the cup.[2]
The busiest appliance in the kitchen? Surely it's the kettle. And because it's on
show all the time, looks are important; brushed stainless steel is your best
option for style and cleanability. Factor in, too, the kettle's ease of use,
given how often you'll be switching it on. When shopping, pick it up to test
the weight, the feel and the pouring action. Invest in a cordless model - it's
simpler to use and looks neater on the bench.
And if you've ever found yourself shouting to be heard above the noise of a
kettle reaching the boil, the embedded heating element in Russell Hobbs' WhisperQuiet model is designed to tone down the racket even before you sit down
for that relaxing cup of tea.
Many of the latest models are equipped with water filters - usually removable
for easy cleaning - turning the modern kettle into a true multi-tasker.[1]
